Preface
The Department of Assamese in the Bhawanipur Anchalik College, Bhawanipur, Barpeta, Assam was introduced in the Year 1982 and honours course was opened at degree level from the session 1987. As a prominent subject of humanities, Assamese always plays an important role in the intellectual improvement of humanity. Thus, the Department of Assamese, Bhawanipur Anchalik. College has also been playing an active & important role in the academic upliftment of this institution as well as the intellectual improvement of the society. Some students having Assamese subject as Major & General have successfully completed Degree Programme.

Department have a micro Library. . Departmental library always try to provide necessary books to the students. Students can collect books from departmental library for making notes and have to return the same within the stipulated time. However, the college have a central library consisting of more than 27000 of books, journals and periodicals.
Departmental Wall magazine
The Departmental Wall magazine plays an important role in develop students creativity such as writing, drawing etc. The Department of Assamese publish wall magazine yearly. The Wall magazine provide an platform to students for express their emotion and published the talent in explicit manner. Writing wall magazine helps students to develop their literary test and reading habits.
