Profile of the Department
Introduction
The Department of Chemistry, Bhawanipur Anchalik College is one of the esteemed departments of our college which started in the 2023-24 academic session with the approval of Gauhati University. The Department offers chemistry subjects in Higher Secondary (Science) affiliated with AHSEC and B.Sc. in Chemistry (Major and Non-Major) affiliated with Gauhati University. The Department has a well-furnished laboratory with numerous equipment and required chemicals for undergraduate practical courses. The Faculty members of the departments are competent and committed to helping students achieve more excellent milestones in their careers. Various assessments like tests, interactive sessions, board presentations, projects, and home assignments judge the student's knowledge of the subject. The department aimed to be actively involved in creating awareness of individual environmental obligations among students and society and to explore various prospects of chemistry via various seminars/Conferences/Workshops and visits to various nearby institutes, and industrial and research laboratories. The department is enthusiastic about adapting innovative methods of teaching and inculcating a research mindset in young students.
