DEPARTMENTAL  LIBRARY:

Apart from the Present library in the college, there is a departmental library in the Department of commerce consisting of at least one hundred books. Most of them are subject specific. Both text as well as reference books is there in the departmental library. Faculty member Mr. Krishna Kanta Das is the in-charge of library. Books are issued to both subjects and library is fulfilling the requirement to the extent of both the students and teachers. Now, we are planning to enrich the departmental library in near future.

DEPARTMENTAL  LABORATORY:

Earlier commerce graduate from urban or industrial areas were given preference by employers but today with the department in communication and transportation, students belonging to rural areas are also employed by the employers. Although in terms of turnover rate in job market rural candidates always lag behind the urban candidates. Considering the rural background of the students of the college, a commerce laboratory was initiated by the department of commerce in the 2019. The main purpose behind the initiation was to give the students an opportunity to practice their theoretical/conceptual knowledge earned in the class room and their by making the study more attractive and practice business, financial and industrial activities more closely. For the purpose of commerce laboratory we have a moderately furnished room with internet connectivity. We have seating arrangement for both teachers and students for conducting group discussion, meeting and interview. Various teaching aids like blackboard, laptop, projectors etc. are also available inside the lab.

RESULT OF THE DEPARTMENT:

The academic performance of a particular department is reflected by the result of the student of the department. So, as far the result of the department is concerned it is seen that the performance of the student in degree are more satisfactory.
