Profile of the Department

DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS
BHAWANIPUR ANCHALIK COLLEGE

About the Department:
Today, mathematics is used throughout the world as an essential tool in many fields, including natural science, engineering, medicine, and the social sciences. All the branches of mathematics concerned with the application of mathematical knowledge to other fields, inspire and make use of new mathematical discoveries and sometimes lead to the development of entirely new disciplines. With the establishment of the Department of Mathematics in 2023, the Department is committed to making the students recognize the value of mathematics and its relationship with other subjects, along with to providing a stimulating learning environment, to foster the ability to solve and analyze problems and arrive at precise conclusions. The department’s continual effort is to improve the quality of students so that they take an interest in higher studies in the future.

Mission:

  •   To be a leading Mathematics Department in the state as well as in the country.
  •   To emerge as a global center of learning, academic excellence, and innovative research.

Vision:

  • Imparting quality mathematics education and inculcating the spirit of research through innovative teaching and research methodologies.
  • To provide an environment where students can learn, become competent users of mathematics, and understand the use of mathematics in other disciplines.
  • To achieve high standards of excellence in generating and propagating knowledge in Mathematics. The department is committed to providing an education that combines rigorous academics with the joy of discovery.
