Internal Quality Assurance Cell, Bhawanipur Anchalik College

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Bhawanipur Anchalik College (BAC) is an essential body dedicated to ensure and enhance the quality of education and overall institutional functioning. The IQAC consists of a team of experienced faculty members, administrative staff, and student representatives who work diligently to monitor, evaluate, and continually improve various aspects of our academic programs and services. Through systematic reviews, feedback mechanisms, and quality assessment measures, the IQAC strives to maintain high standards in teaching, research, infrastructure, and student support services. Their efforts are instrumental in fostering an environment conducive to learning, innovation, and holistic development.

Vision & Mission

Internal Quality Assurance Cell has been established in the institution with a vision of making quality the defining element of higher education in Bhawanipur Anchalik College through a combination of self and external quality evaluation, promotion and sustenance endeavour with the active support and co-operation of all the stakeholders.

About IQAC, Bhawanipur Anchalik College:

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell was formed in April 2004 and restructured in April 2012 as per the revised guidelines of NAAC, Bangalore. Since then, the prime task of the IQAC has been to develop a system for conscious, consistent, and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of the institution. The cell has played a significant role during the first, second, and third cycles of NAAC Assessment in 2004 (C++ Grade), 2015 (B Grade), and 2023 (B Grade). It is all set to face the upcoming fourth cycle, which is going to be binary-based. Over the years, the IQAC has become a vehicle for ushering in quality enhancement by working out interventionist strategies to remove deficiencies and enhance quality, a never-ending process. The IQAC at BAC expresses its gratitude to the following former coordinators for their unwavering dedication to the institution, persevering through every circumstance.

Keeping the aforesaid vision and mission in mind, the IQAC, Bhawanipur Anchalik College, Bhawanipur, has adopted the following strategies and procedures:

1. Ensuring timely, efficient, and progressive performance of academic, administrative, and financial tasks.

2. Serving as a torchbearer and pathfinder for the college to bring excellence.

3. The relevance and quality of academic research programs.

4. Equitable access to and affordability of academic programs for various sections of society.

5. Optimization and integration of modern methods of teaching and learning.

6. Establishing the credibility of the evaluation procedures.

7. Ensuring the adequacy, maintenance, and proper allocation of support structures and services.

8. Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge for the participatory teaching and learning process.

9. Arrangements for feedback responses from all the stakeholders in the institution on quality-related processes.

10. Dissemination of information on various quality parameters of higher education.

11. Organization of inter- and intra-institutional workshops, seminars on quality-related themes, and promotion of quality circles.

12. Documentation of various programs and activities leading to quality improvement.

13. Acting as a nodal agency of the institution for co-ordinating quality-related activity, including the adoption and dissemination of best practices.

14. Development of a quality culture in the institution.

15. Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report and Self Study Report as per guidelines as parameters of NAAC to be submitted to NAAC for Assessment and Accreditation.

The Strategic Plans of the IQAC:

1. Monitoring the Admission Process: Launching of the Academic Calendar and Prospectus.

2. Monitoring the implementation of the curriculum through the Academic Monitoring Committee.

3. Monitoring the publication of college magazines and research journals.

4. Monitoring the function of the Examination Committee.

5. Celebration of festivals and other occasions. 

6. Monitoring activities under Students’ Welfare.

7. Monitoring college development activities.

8. To work on the Swachhta Action Plan (SAP) as one of the best practices.

9. Organizing seminars, webinars, and lecture programs.

10. Encouraging faculty members to use ICT tools and organizing training or workshops for the same.

11. To organize an awareness, counseling, and gender sensitization program.

12. To promote online classes for the students.

13. To submit AQAR to NAAC and prepare for the NAAC Assessment from time to time.
