Extension Education Cell, Bhawanipur Anchalik College

The Extension Education Cell (EEC) at Bhawanipur Anchalik College (BAC) organizes different extension programs and also maintains records of different extension programs organized by other cells or departments of the college. To date, the EEC has organized different extension programs meant for students and also for the interested residents of the surrounding areas. The cell functions as per the mission, vision, and objectives given below.

Mission:

1. Encourage students to be self-reliant and economically independent.

2. Encourage students to take part in social activities.

3. To sensitize the students of college and society about nutrition, health, and hygiene.

4. To provide rich and meaningful educational experiences in order to build the student’s strengths and capabilities.

5. Develop the capacity to meet emergencies and natural disasters. 

Vision:

1. Engage the students in social activities by utilizing their own creativity and constructing social action.

2. To empower students in all spheres of life, enabling them to become agents of social and economic change and inculcating ethical values for the betterment of themselves, their families, and society.

Aims & Objectives:

1. To arouse social consciousness among the students by providing opportunities to work with them.

2. To develop awareness and knowledge of social realities for the well-being of the community. 

3. To engage in social activities by utilizing their own creativity and constructing social action.

4. To provide rich and meaningful educational experiences in order to build the student’s strengths and capabilities.

5. To develop skills needed in the exercise of acquiring good leadership and self-employment.

6. To develop a sense of civic responsibility and the power of problem-solving among students.

7. To develop capacity to meet emergencies and natural disasters. 

8. To practice national integration and social harmony.

The cell is actively involved in its activities in every possible aspect. Below are a few important activities highlighted.

1. Career awareness Camp: A career counseling program was organized on August 11, 2018 by the District Administration of Barpeta in collaboration with the IQAC-Extension Education Cell, BAC, where SDPO, Bajali, i/c Bhawanipur Police Outpost, etc. attended and delivered speeches on the occasion. Dr. M. Sarma, the then principal of BAC, presided over the program, and 126 students and teachers participated actively in the program to make it a grand success. 

2. Free Health Checkup: A free health checkup and awareness camp was organized on September 9, 2016 in the college premises, organized by the Centre for Total Nutrition, Guwahati, in association with EEC and BAC. In this camp, around 30 people participated and were benefited by it. The camp was followed by an open meeting on health and nutrition attended by faculty and students of the college.

3. Students Information Program: A Students Information Program was held on September 20, 2016, organized by “The Institute of Computer Accountants” in the College Library Reading Room. This program was addressed by Safikul Hque, Marketing Manager, ICA, and Mr. Ranjan Jyoti Majumdar, Business Development Associate, ICA. More than 50 students took part in the program and benefited.

 4. National Education Day: On the occasion of ‘The National Education Day', a seminar on “The Life and Works of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad” was organized on 11/11/2016, chaired by Mr. Tarani Kr. Pathak, Vice Principal of the College. The seminar was addressed by Prof. Shah Alom Hussain and Prof. Abdul Gofur, and 150 students and teachers took part.

5. Lecture on Hypertension and Stroke: The Cell, in collaboration with Pathsala Samannoy, observed ‘World Stroke Day’ on November 12, 2016 and arranged a memorial lecture on “High Blood Pressure and Stroke” in memory of Late Hiranjit Deka, and the Senimar was addressed by Dr. Hitesh Talukdar SDMO, Pathsala Civil Hospital.

6. EDP under the DST-NIMAT Project: In connection with the 4-week EDP program under the DST-NIMAT project sponsored by the National Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Board (NSTEDB), Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, and conducted by the Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship, Guwahati, in association with ASHROI (an NGO), which ended on December 24, 2016, a veledictory function on December 29, 2016, at 12:00 noon in the Digital Class Room was organized by the IQAC-Extension Education Cell, Bhawanipur Anchalik College. The total number of participants was 26. The meeting was presided over by Taiz uddin Ahmed and Mr. Ratul Kr. Das, Program Officer, IIE; Rinku Boruah Mahanta, President, ASHROY; and Arup Sarma, a successful entrepreneur, who delivered speeches as Chief Guest, Guest of Honor, and appointed speaker of the program, respectively. The program was managed by Mr. Biraj Das.

7. Beatician Training: The inaugural meeting of Beauty Therapist Training was held on January 24, 2017. The training program was sponsored by the National Backward Caste Finance Development Corporation, Government of India, and organized by the Asian Mission Institute in collaboration with the IQAC-Extension Education Cell, BAC. The meeting was held in the digital class room at 1:00 p.m., and was presided over by Dr. M. Sarma, the then principal of the college. As many as 30 trainees, dignitaries of the Asian Mission Institute, and faculties of the college participated.

8. International Yoga Day: International Yoga Day was observed by the Extension Education Cell, NSS, and Bharat Scout and Guide of BAC, in the college premises on June 21, 2017 in collaboration with the Asian Mission Institute, Barpeta, in a befitting manner. The honorable principal, invited guests, Dr. A.K. Sikdar, and other dignitaries of the Asian Mission Institute, alumni, students, and faculties actively participated in the program.

9. Training on Areca Nut: A training program on arecanut-based cropping systems organized by MANAB SARATHI in collaboration with the Central Plantation Crops Research Institute, Kahikuchi, Guwahati-17, and Extension Education Cell, BAC, was held in the Auditorium Hall of the college on October 28, 2017. A total of 30 participants, including different NGO workers, farmers, students and teachers participated actiuvely.

10. Skill Development and Motivational Workshop: A program, namely ‘INTERVIEW FACE OFF’ of Kaziranga University, was organized by the university in association with the Extension Education Cell, BAC, on November 2, 2017, in the Digital Class Room of the Bhawanipur Anchalik College, Bhawanipur. In the workshop, as many as 100 students and teachers from the college actively participated. The program was addressed by Mr. Ajit Kumar, Marketing Manager, and Pinky Das, Senior Executive of Kaziranga University. Dr. Mukunda Sarma, the then principal of BAC, delivered the welcome address, and Dr. Samiran Sarma, coordinator of IQAC, and Taiz Uddin Ahmed were involved in the managerial activity of the program.

11. First International Film Festival: The first international film festival, Guwahati, was held at Srimanta Sankardev Klakhetra, Guwahati, organized by Dr. Bhupen Hajarika Regional Government Film and Television Institute from October 28th, 2017 to November 2nd, 2017. As many as 175 students and teachers from BAC, Bhawanipur, participated in the program.

12. Educational Awareness Program: An educational awareness program was organized by the Extension Education Cell, NSS, Bharat Scout & Guide, and Women Cell of Bhawanipur Anchalik College, Bhawanipur, at Nakuchi Village on November 27, 2017, where students and teachers of Nakuchi High School participated. Mrs. Haimayanti Talukdar, Dr. Niva Choudhury, Malay Kalita, and Taiz Uddin Ahmed delivered speeches as resource persons.

13. Environmental Awareness Program: An Environmental Awareness Program was organized at Pollarpar Madrasa Higher Secondary School by the Extension Education Cell, NSS, and Bharat Scout & Guide on December 1, 2017. Teachers and students of Bhawanipur Anchalik College actively participated in the program. The program was addressed by Taiz Uddin Ahmed, Miss Charusmita Goswami, Mr. Raju Kumar Das, and Mobarak Hussain as resource persons on behalf of Bhawanipur Anchalik College, Bhawanipur.

14. Beautician Training: A training program for beauty therapists was started on January 29th, 2018 and ended on June 19th, 2018. The training program was sponsored by the Assam Skill Development Mission, Government of Assam, and organized by the Asian Mission Institute in collaboration with the IQAC-Extension Education Cell, Bhawanipur Anchalik College, Bhawanipur.

15. National Voters Day: In response to the letter from the Director, Higher Education, Assam (Ref. DHE Letter No.K(M) EL-86/2017/9 dtd.06.12.2017), National Voters Day was observed by the IQAC-Extension Education Cell in association with the Department of Political Science at Bhawanipur Anchalik College, Bhawanipur, on January 25, 2018 in the college premises. An open meeting was held under the chairmanship of Dr. Mukunda Sarma, principal of the college, at noon with a satisfactory attendance of students. The meeting was addressed by Taiz Uddin Ahmed and Dr. Samiran Sarma. Two students of the college also shared their views on National Voters Day. In pursuance of the program, an ICT presentation was also demonstrated. The gathering formed the ELECTORAL AWARENESS CLUB. After a threadbare discussion, the chairman of the meeting concluded the program with a vote of thanks offered by Mrs. Pallabi Nath, Coordinator of the Women Cell of the College.

16. Brahmaputra Literary Festival: The Brahmaputra Literary Festival (2019), held at Sankardev Kalakhetra, Guwahati, was organized by Assam Prakashan Parishad and held from February 9th, 10th, and 11th, 2019. The Extension Education Cell of Bhawanipur Anchalik College also participated in that event with many students and faculties of the college, led by Taiz Uddin Ahmed.

17. HIMT Career Counseling Program: A Career Counseling Program was held in the Digital Classroom on March 24, 2018; it started at 11 a.m. and ended at 3 p.m. This program was organized by the Extension Education Cell and HIMT, Noida, New Delhi, a premier institution in the country. This program was addressed by Dr. Mukesh Shehrawat and Dr. Ajay Pandey of HIMT, and 70 students interacted with the dignitaries on their future career perspectives.

18. Domestic Data Operator Training: Asian Mission Institute and Extension Education Cell, Bhawanipur Anchalik College, Bhawanipur jointly implemented a training program of assessment for the role of DOMESTIC DATA ENTRY OPERATOR (SSC/Q2212, Batch ID 1838) under Skill India, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Government of India, sponsored by Assam Skill Development Mission, from June 4th, 2019 to October 25th, 2019 in the college premises.

19. Jonaki Mel: The Extension Education Cell, Woman Cell, NSS, and Bhawanipur Anchalik College Sahitya Sabha jointly organized a daylong literary and cultural program on June 29, 2018 in the college premises in collaboration with  ‘Jonaki Mel’  a Pathsala-based literary and cultural organization.

The program was started by hoisting the flag of Jonaki Mel by Dr. Jagannath Patgiri, Bormeluoi, Jonali Mel, and the college flag was hoisted by Dr. Mukunda Sarma, Honourable Principal of the college, Sri. Mrinal Ch. Kalita, secretary, Jonaki Mel, Sri. Dharanidhar Talukdar, President, Governing Body of the college, had lighten in front of the portrait of Giteekobi Parbati Prasad Baruah, offered puspanjali by Mrs. Kuldip Dasojhah, Vice-Principal, Mr. Raju Kumar Das, Associate Professor, Amkur Talukdar, Ex-General Secretary, Students Union Body, Mridusmita Choudhury, President, Students Union Body of the college.

Later on, an open session was presided over by Dr. Mukunda Sarma, followed by a group song presented by students of Bhawanipur Anchalik College, Bhawanipur. Mr. Mrinal Chandra Kalita narrated the historical background of Jonaki Mel. Mr. Mrigen Das presented the songs of Giteekobi Parboti Prasad Baruah.

Besides, recitation of self-composed poems and recitation of poems composed by great poets are also important parts of this program. Invited dignitaries narrated on different topics related to these events. At last, the folk songs of Assam were presented by guest artists.

20. Second Guwahati International Film Festival: The Second Guwahati International Film Festival-2018 was organized by Jyoti Chitraban Society, Guwahati, and Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Regional Government Film and Television Institute, Guwahati. A total of 111 students participated in the giff on October 26th, 27th, 29th, and 30th, 2018, held in the premises of Sankardev Kalakhetra, Guwahati. Many students and faculties of Bhawanipur Anchalik College, Bhawanipur, participated in the 2nd Guwahati International Film Festival (2018). 

21. First Guwahati International Documentary, Short, and Animation Film Festival: The First Guwahati International Documentary, Short, and Animation Film Festival, 2019 was held at Shankardev Kalashetra, Guwahati, from January 22nd to January 24th, 2019. Bhawanipur Anchalik College participated, with 236 students and 5 teachers.

22. Interaction Program of the 15 Jat Regiment: An interactive program was conducted on January 24, 2019 at 11.45 a.m. in collaboration with the 15 JAT Regiment, Barama HQ, in the Conference Hall of Bhawanipur Anchalik College, Bhawanipur, to motivate the students to serve the country by joining the Indian Army. Mr. Abdesh Kumar, the honorable subedar of the 15 JAT Regiment, highlighted the rudiments of army rules and regulations, how to apply, and how to prepare oneself for army recruitment. He encouraged the students to lead a healthy and disciplined lifestyle to be successful in their lives. Determination, dedication, hard work, and discipline, according to him, are the secrets of success. So, the students keep these values in their minds and act accordingly to make their future bright. The program was attended by Dr. Samiran Sarma, Krishna Kanta Das, the librarian, and teachers of the college.

23. Educational tour to Joypur: Under the Assam Government Scheme of ‘Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat’  and Director of Higher Education, a group of students, teachers, and non-teaching staff of the college, under the supervision of Dr. Hitesh Chandra Roy, went to Joypur for an educational tour from January 17th to January 23, 2019 from Bawanipur Anchalik College. A total of 20 participants (teacher and students) were involved.

24. National Voters Day: The Extension Education Cell and Department of Political Science celebrated the 9th National Voters’ Day on January 25, 2019 in the college premises, attended by esteemed teachers, non-teaching staff, and students of Bhawanipur Anchalik College, Bhawanipur. In connection with the programme an AWARENESS MEETING  held on 25th January, 2019 at 12.00 noon in the  Room No.5.  The theme of the 9th National Voters’ Day was “NO VOTERS TO BE LEFT BEHIND.” The awareness meeting was presided over by Taiz Uddin Ahmed. Inaugural speech delivered by Honourable Principal Dr. Mukunda Sarma. A power point presentation was done by Dr. Pallabi Nath, and as appointed speaker, Dr. Hitesh Ch. Roy delivered a speech in the meeting.

25. Pariksha Pe Charcha: The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, organized a program on “PARIKSHA PE CHARCHA, 2.0.” Respected Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi has interacted with a cross-section of 2000 students, teachers, and guardians from all over India and expanded abroad. This unique program was organized in the Talkotra Stadium of New Delhi on January 29, 2019 at 11 a.m. This program was related to the examination stress faced by students, teachers, and parents. The main aim and objective of the program is to prevent brain drain and inspire students, teachers, and guardians to find ways and means to combat stress related to the examinations they face. A section of students and teachers, including hon’ble principal Dr. Mukunda Sarma of Bhawanipur Anchalik College, Bhawanipur, have viewed the live telecast program at the Digital Conference Hall. The participants of Bhawanipur Anchalik College have been motivated and felt enthusiastic by the speech of PM Modi. Every participant has expressed satisfaction and expects such a unique program in the future for the greater interest of the nation. The program was actively attended by 12 faculties and 38 students, including respected principal Dr. Mukunda Sarma.

26. NEGC, 2019 at USTM: The Extension Education Cell, Bhawanipur Anchalik College, participated in NEGC-2019 with 19 students along with 5 faculties organized by USTM (University of Science and Technology, Meghalaya). They reached the university at about 5 p.m. on February 14 with a warm welcome from the authority of the university. There, a huge gathering of students and teacher coordinators coming from different colleges in the north-eastern region was observed. The students of our college exchanged their views with the students of other colleges. The students of BAC participated in quiz competitions, extempore speeches, badminton (both boys and girls), ethnic shows, cultural rallies, painting, and group dancing. Accordingly, Nilom Patowary, who participated in the ethnic show competition, became the first runner-up. All the participants expressed their happiness at having such a mega platform offered.

27. International Yoga Day: Celebration of ‘INTERNATIONAL DAY OF YOGA’ Organized by the Extension Education Cell, Bhawanipur Anchalik College Bhawanipur, in collaboration with Patanjali Yoga Samiti, Barpeta District Alumni Association, Bharat Scout & Guide, National Service Scheme, Bhawanipur Anchalik College, Bhawanipur, at Bhawanipur Anchalik College premises on June 21, 2019 at 10.30 a.m. Mr. Dharanidhar Talukdar, Honourable President, Governing Body Bhawanipur Anchalik College, Bhawanipur, lit the earthen lamps. Mr. Champak Bayan, President and Dipak Thakuria Secretary, Alumni Association Bhawanipur Anchalik College, Bhawanipur, performed the role of ‘Demonstrator’ along with his yoga team.

28. Guwahati International Documentary, Short, and Animation Film Festival: Guwahati International Documentary, Short, and Animation Film Festival-2019 Bhawanipur Anchalik College, Bhawanipur, participated in the 1st Guwahati International Documentary, Short, and Animation Film Festival-2019 from February 22 to February 24, 2019 with 250 students and teachers.

29. Caeer Conselling: The Extension Education Cell, Bhawanipur Anchalik College, Bhawanipur, in association with the University of Science and Technology, Meghalaya (USTM), organized a Career Counseling Program on March 14, 2019 at 9.30 a.m. in the Digital Conference Hall of the college. Dr. Alpana Choudhury and Dr. Baktiar Hussain of USTM. The program started with a welcome address by Dr. Muknda Sarma, Honorable Principal of the College. Dr. Alpana Choudhury, Director, Students Affairs, USTM, and Dr. Baktiyar Hussain, Associate Professor, Dept. of Botany, USTM, addressed and interacted with students and other faculties present. Around 118 students and faculty members participated in the program.

30. Day of Social Justice: The esteemed teachers, non-teaching staff, and students of Bhawanipur Anchalik College, Bhawanipur, participated in the programs of the celebration of World Day of Social Justice organized by the Department of Political Science in collaboration with the Extension Education Cell and Women Cell on February 20, 2019 at 12:00 noon. At 12:00 noon, around 500 students and teachers of the college participated in the rally from the college campus via Bhawanipur Satra and Bhawanipur Chawk to the college campus. Secondly, a general meeting was held in the college, presided over by Hon’ble Principal Dr. Mukunda Sarma. The meeting was addressed by Dr. Hitesh Ch. Roy, Dr. Pallabi Nath, and Taiz Uddun Ahmed. Every speaker analyzed different dimensions of social justice.

31. Brahmaputra Literary Festival: The Bhawanipur Anchalik College participated in the Brahmaputra Film Festival, 2019 on February 9, 10, and 11, 2019 with a total of 251 teachers and students, making the festival a grand success.

32. Fit India Movement Programme: The Extension Education Cell organized the Fit India Movement Programme to listen to the online speech delivered by Mr. Narenda Modi, the Honourable Prime Minister of India, from Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, New Delhi. To listen to the valuable speech of the Prime Minister, as many as 190 students and faculty members attended it in the digital conference hall of the college.

33. Health Awareness Camp: A health awareness camp was organized by the IQAC and Extension Education Cell of Bhawanipur Anchalik College in collaboration with Bhawanipur Block PHE and Dist. Administration of Bajali on December 30, 2019 on the college premises. There were around 293 Anganwadi, Asha workers, and officials from the Health Department and Administration.

34. Educational Tour on Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat: Under the Assam Government Scheme of ‘Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat’ and Director of Higher Education, a group of students, teachers, and non-teaching staff of the college, under the supervision of Dr. Hitesh Chandra Roy, went to New Delhi for an educational tour from January 20th to January 25th, 2020, from Bhawanipur Anchalik College, Bhawanipur, Barpeta Assam.

35. Educational Tour on Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat: Under the ‘Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat’ Scheme of the Government of Assam and Director of Higher Education, a group of faculties and students led by Taiz Uddin Ahmed, Hannan Ali Ahmed, Tarali Das, and Miss Pompi Nath had an educational tour to Viswa Bharati University, Santiniketan, Kolkata, from February 20, 2020, to February 25, 2020. There were 25 people in total.

36. ESDM Training under the Extension Education Cell, Bhawanipur Anchalik College, Bhawanipur, in collaboration with the Women Development Council, A.T. Road, Nagaon, Dist. Nagaon PIN 782003, implemented the ESDM (Electronics System Design and Manufacturing) Trainning Programme under the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) on February 7 and 8, 2022. It was conducted by Dr. Hannan Ali Ahmed, Mr. Nayan Kalita, and Suman Barman on behalf of Bhawanipur Anchalik College, Bhawanipur, and Mr. Amit Kakati on behalf of WDC. Certificates have been awarded to 649 students who completed the training, followed by an examination held on the college premises. 

37. Celebration of International Yoga Day: Extension Education Cell, BAC, in collaboration with Patanjali Yoga Samiti of Barpeta District, Alumni Association, NSS, and Bharat Scout and Guide, organized a program on account of the 5th International Day of Yoga on the college premises on June 21, 2022, at 10.30 a.m. The program started with the lighting of an earthen lamp by Mr. Dharanidhar Talukdar, Honourable President, Governing Body, Bhawanipur Anchalik College. Mr. Shridhar Sarma, Honourable President, Bharat Swaviman, Barpeta Road; Mr. Pratap Kumar Agarwala, President, Lions Club of Barpeta Road; Banowari Lal Birasaria, Businessman and Philanthroist of Barpeta Road; Mr. Champak Kumar Bayan, Leader of Patanjali Yoga Samiti, Barpeta District; and Dharitri Bayan, Instructor of Yoga, Bhawanipur; and Dipak Thakuria, Secretary, Alumni Association, Bhawanipur Anchalik College, by the students and faculties. Lecture on the importance of yoga: (a) by Mr. Dharanidhar Talukdar, Honourable President, Governing Body, Bhawanipur Anchalik College; and (b) by Dr. Mukunda Sarma, Honorable Principal, Bhawanipur Anchalik College. Demonstration and Practice of Yoga participated by students and faculties of Bhawanipur Anchalik College: Mr. Shridhar Sarma, Champak Kumar Bayan, and Dharitri Bayan demonstrated yoga jointly, and students and faculties practiced with them. A total of 133 students participated, along with dignitaries and faculties.

 38. Independence Day Celebration:Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav: Bhawanipur Anchalik College, Bhawanipur, celebrated and commemorated 75 years of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav from August 12 to August 15, 2022. Besides the four-day colorful program from August 12 to August 15, 2022, as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the college also organized ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ in a befitting manner. On August 12, 2022, the national flag was displayed, followed by a quiz competition and the distribution of national flags at 12.30 p.m., organized by Dalmia Cement Co. in collaboration with IQAC, the Extension Education Cell, and the Student Union of Bhawanipur Anchalik College, Bhawanipur.

On August 13, 2022, the national flag was hoisted by Dr. Abdus Salam, Honourable Vice-Principal of the College, at 8.45 a.m., followed by a cultural procession and the distribution of national flags in association with the CRPF, 10th BN, Howly. The procession was inaugurated by Mr. Raju Kumar Das, Associate Professor, and Mrs. Minati Talukdar, UDA of the college.

On August 14, 2022, at 8.45 a.m., the national flag was hoisted by Dr. Hitesh Ch. Roy, HoD, Dept. of Political Science, followed by a plantation program by Mr. Manas Kumar Chakraborty, HoD, Dept. of English.

On August 15, 2022, at 7.45 a.m., the national flag was hoisted by Dr. Mukunda Sarma, Honourable Principal of the college, followed by a seminar at 9.30. a.m. on the topic “Deshar Swadhinata Praptit Beer Swahid Sokolor Abadan,” inaugurated by Mr. Dharanidhar Talukdar, Honourable President of the Governing Body. The seminar is chaired by Dr. Mukunda Sarma, Honourable Principal, and Mr. Taiz Uddin Ahmed, Associate Professor, and Mr. Sah Alam Hussain, Associate Professor, as resource persons on the college premises. A huge number of students, faculty, and well-wishers of the college participated.

Celebration of the 400th birth anniversary of Lachit Borphukan: The Extension Education Cell, Bhawanipur Anchalik College, Bhawanipur, and Bajali District Administration celebrated the 400th birth anniversary of Bir Lachit Borphukan in a befitting manner through colorful programs and events from November 19 to November 24, 2022, on the college premises. The events and competitions on that day were a drawing competition, a quiz competition, and an essay competition on Bir Lachit Borfhukan. A seminar was organized on “Swadesh Premor Poriprekhhitot Lachit Barfukan,” addressed by Mr. Abdus Sattar Choudhury and Sah Alam Hussain, both Associate Professors, Dept. of History, Bhawanipur Anchalik College, Bhawanipur, as resource persons. The open session was inaugurated by Mr. Pranjal Kowar, Honourable Addl. D.C., Bajali District, and a welcome address was delivered by Honourable Principal Dr. Mukunda Sarma of the college. participated by officials of Bajali Dist. Administration, students of the college, along with students and teachers guides of as many as eight adopted schools by the different departments of Bhawanipur Anchalik College, and other participants.

40. A Financial Camp: A finance camp was organized by the Kshyamata and Aradhana NGO of Barpeta in collaboration with the Extension Education Cell, Bhawanipur Anchalik College. Ritumani Pasani, General Manager, DICC, Barpeta, and Pranjan Roy Medhi, Functional Manager of DICC, Barpeta, attended and delivered valuable speeches. Dr. Malay Kalita, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Economics, and Mr. Bitumani Das, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Commerce, Bhawanipur Anchalik College, were the resource persons for the program. Dr. Mukunda Sarma, Principal, Bhawanipur Anchalik College, delivered the welcome speech in the program, and 82 students and teachers participated actively in the program to make the program a grand success.

41. Plantation Drive: A Plantation Program was organized by 10th BN, CRPF, Howly, in collaboration with the Extension Education Cell, Bhawanipur Anchalik College, on June 3, 2023. D.B. Yadav, Deputy Commandar, Deepak Kumar Sinha, Inspector, and Nilo Basumatary, Inspector 10th BN, CRPF of Howly, attended the program. Mr. Raju Kumar Das, Associate Professor, Dept. of Education, BAC, extended his warm welcome to the team of 10th BN, CRPF of Howly, to the college. D.B. Yadav, Deputy Commandar, delivered his valuable speech and encouraged the students to save our nature.

42. World Environment Day: World Environment Day was celebrated at Bhawanipur Anchalik College on June 5, 2023. Mr. Raju Kumar Das, Associate Professor, Dept. of Education, Bhawanipur Anchalik College, delivered the welcome speech. Dr. Mukunda Sarma, Principal, Bhawanipur Anchalik College, inaugurated the day by planting a tree and explaining the significance of the day. Dr.Ramjan Ali Ahmed, NSS coordinator, and Dr. Samiran Sarma, IQAC coordinator, Teaching and Non-Teaching Stuff, students attended the program.

43. International Yoga Day: International Yoga Day was observed by the Extension Education Cell and Women Cell of Bhawanipur Anchalik College, Bhawanipur, in the college premises on June 21, 2023, in collaboration with the Alumni Association of Bhawanipur Anchalik College, Bhawanipur, in a befitting manner. The honorable principal, invitees, Shri Dhar Sharma, and other dignitaries of Patanjali, alumni, students, and faculties actively participated in the program.

44. Social awareness camps in Adopted Villages; A social awareness camp was organized by the Extension Education Cell of Bhawanipur Anchalik College at 735 Namati Lp School on July 1, 2023. The theme of the awareness camp was “need for pure drinking water and sanitation during floods." The meeting was presided over by Mr. Devendra Patowary, President of Namati Satra. Mr. Taiz uddin Ahmed, retired associate professor, Dept. of Political Science, and Dr. Malay Kalita, assistant professor, Dept. of Economics, Bhawanipur Anchalik College, were the resource persons of the camp. Mr.Rupam Mazumdar, Coordinator, Extension Education Cell, delivered a welcome speech and a thank-you vote to the participants. Among heavy rain and inclement weather, 32 participants took part in the awareness camp.

45. An Awareness Camp on Drinking Water: A social awareness camp was organized by the Extension Education Cell at Bhawanipur Anchalik College at 76 No. Bhawanipur Lp School on July 3, 2023. The theme of the awareness camp was “need for pure drinking water and sanitation during floods." The meeting was presided over by Manowara Khatun, head mistress of the school. Mr. Taiz uddin Ahmed, retired associate professor, Dept. of Political Science; Mr. Abdul Gafur, Associate Professor & HOD, Dept. of Education; Mr. Raju Kumar Das, Associate Professor, Dept. of Education; Dr. Dulumani Das, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Education; and Dr. Niva Choudhury, Associate Professor & HOD, Dept. of Philosophy, Bhawanipur Anchalik College, were the resource persons of the camp. Mr.Rupam Mazumdar, Coordinator, Extension Education Cell, delivered a welcome speech and a thank-you vote to the participants. A total of 74 participants took part in the camp, and the program was very successful.

46. An Awareness Camp on Drinking Water During Floods: A Social Awareness Camp was organized by the Extension Education Cell of Bhawanipur Anchalik College at Nowkuchi M.E. School on July 4, 2023. The theme of the awareness camp was “need for pure drinking water and sanitation during floods." The meeting was presided over by Mr. Hazrat Ali Ahmed, a retired science teacher at Kurubaha High School. Prof. Abani Kumar Bhagbati, retired professor, Dept. of Geography, Gauhati University, was the resource person for the camp. Dr. Mukunda Sarma, Principal, Bhawanipur Anchalik College, delivered the welcome speech in the program. . Mr.Rupam Mazumdar, Coordinator, Extension Education Cell, explained the objective of the program, and Mr. Raju Kumar Das, Associate Professor, Dept. of Education, delivered the thanks of vote. A total of 113 students, teachers, and dignitaries participated actively in the program to make it a grand success.

A Talk on the Need for Pure Drinking Water During Floods: A social awareness camp was organized by the Extension Education Cell of Bhawanipur Anchalik College at 704 No. Natun Koyakuchi LP School on July 5, 2023. The theme of the awareness camp was “need for pure drinking water and sanitation during floods." The meeting was presided over by Mr. Anil Sanyal, Gaonbura of the Villages. Mr. Raju Kumar Das, Associate Professor, Dept. of Education, is the resource person for the camp. Mr. Sah Alom Hussain, Associate Professor & HOD, Dept. of History; Mr. Abdus Sattar Choudhury, Associate Professor, Dept. of History; Dr. Amalesh Dutta, Associate Professor & HOD, Dept. of Economics; and Dr. Malay Kalita, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Economics, Bhawanipur Anchalik College, were present in the camp. Mr.Rupam Mazumdar, Coordinator, Extension Education Cell, explains the objective of the program. A total of 52 students, teachers, and dignitaries participated actively in the program to make it a grand success.

48. Career Counseling Program: A career counseling, vocational guidance, and registration on the NCS Portal and the Job Portal by the District Employment Exchange, Barpeta, in collaboration with the Extension Education Cell, Bhawanipur Anchalik College. was held on October 10, 2023. Lipika Dutta, Asst. Director, District Employment Exchange, Barpeta, and Bedanga Kashyap, DPMT, AJDM, Barpeta, were resource persons for the program. Dr. Mukunda Sarma, Principal, Bhawanipur Anchalik College, and Dr. Abdus Salam, Vice Principal, Bhawanipur Anchalik College, attended and delivered valuable speeches. Many students and teachers participated actively in the program to make it a grand success.
