Mukunda Sarma, M.A., B.Ed., M. Phil., Ph. D., was the Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Education of Bapujee College, Sarukshetri, Sarthebari, Barpeta, Assam. He joined as Lecturer in 1989 on 19^th January and left the college for joining as the Principal in 2012, on 18^th January. He served as the Guest Lecturer at Rangia Teachers’ Training College, Rangia, Kamrup Rural, Assam from 1987 till 1997. He also served as guest lecturer of SDP College of Education, Tihu, Nalbari, Assam for four years. During IX^th five years Plan Period he got UGC Teacher Fellowship for doing M. Phil. During X^th five years plan period he got UGC Fellowship for Ph.D. He completed his M. Phil. and Ph. D. from Gauhati University under the supervision of Dr. (Late) Bhagaban Subudhi.

Dr. Sarma has authored & co-authored more than Thirty Five books on Education, some amongst which Research Methodology – Assignment, Seminar Paper & Project; Problems of Youth; Philosophical and Sociological Foundation of Education; Environmental and Population Education; Educational Technology & Methods of Teaching - available in www.bookganga.com & www.amazon.in  etc. are the books of repute. Three Essays in Assamese in the title of Jivanto Bujar Babe, Bibhedar Prithibit Jatir Bhabishat, & Safal Jibanar Babe Shikshya published by the Research, Publication and Publicity Cell of Bhawanipur Anchalik College, Chandra Prakash, Panbazar, Guwahati, Assam and the Publishing Sub-Committee, Golden Jubilee Celebration Committee, Pathcarkusch Sakha Sahitya Sabha are already there in the market. He has been working as the Chairman of the Research, Publication and Publicity Cell of Bhawanipur Anchalik College and the Editor-in-chief of the Bi-Annual Multi-Lingual Research Journal, Publish Bi-Annually by the Research, Publication and Publicity Cell of Bhawanipur Anchalik College. Sarma has written more than twenty articles on different issues and presented more than sixteen research papers in various National and International Seminars. He is the life member of Assam State Council of Teacher Education, Param Hitaishi Sadashya of Assam Sahitya Sabha etc. He is also associated with the Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University (KKHSOU), GUIDOL, G.U. & the National Institute of Open Schooling, Assam, India as SLM writer and Researcher Supervisor.
