The Science Forum at Bhawanipur Anchalik College (BAC) serves as a vibrant hub for students passionate about scientific inquiry and exploration. Comprising a diverse community of students and faculty members across various scientific disciplines, the forum provides a platform for intellectual exchange, collaborative research, and innovative projects. Through a range of activities, such as seminars, workshops, and hands-on experiments, the forum fosters a culture of curiosity, critical thinking, and scientific inquiry among its members. The forum functions as per the mission, vision and objectives listed below:
Mission:

Objectives:
1. To encourage student participation in scientific activities and events.
2. To organize seminars, workshops, and lectures on various scientific topics.
3. To facilitate discussions and debates on contemporary scientific issues.
4. To promote interdisciplinary collaboration and research among students.
5. To provide a platform for showcasing innovative scientific projects and experiments.
6. To collaborate with other institutions and organizations to enhance scientific learning opportunities.
7. To instil a sense of responsibility towards the environment and sustainable practices through scientific awareness.

The major events organized by the Forum are listed below:
1. BAC, in collaboration with the District Administration, organized a day-long event titled “Science Fair and Competition” under the aegis of the “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” scheme of the Government of India, in conjunction with the celebration of the “International Day of Women and Girls in Science” on February 10, 2024. A rangoli and poster-making competition was held based on some scientific themes.
2. A day-long programme was organized by the Science Forum to commemorate National Science Day on February 28, 2024, in the Auditorium of BAC. There were a series of competitions, like model-making, quizzes, logo-making, etc., participated in by many nearby institutions. The event was named as “BIKIRAN 1.0”, Science Forum of BAC plans to continue the same in the coming years.
3. The Science Forum of BAC is organizing a series of talks spanning over a year in different areas of science and technology. So far, four talks have been organized, and some more are in the pipeline.
