Red Ribbon Club

The Red Ribbon Club (RRC) of Bhawanipur Anchalik College (BAC) is a voluntary on-campus group formed to promote awareness among youths about HIV risk and prevent it. Following are the mission and vision of the club:

Mission: 

1. To promote awareness among youths within the college regarding the HIV virus and measures to get rid of it.

2. To organise interaction programmes with the help of nearby hospitals and the NSS unit of the college.

3. To adopt nearby villages and promote awareness among them about the deadly virus and adequate measures to be undertaken to avoid infection.

4. Observe important days in the college, viz., World Aids Day, World Blood Donor Day, etc.

5. Organise free blood donation camps in collaboration with the nearby blood banks.

6. Different activities, like rallies, street plays, etc., are to be conducted to promote awareness on campus as well as in the surrounding areas.

Vision:

1. To promote an HIV/AIDS-free society and ensure the well-being of those who are affected by and suffering from the disease. In addition, to create a healthy atmosphere and abolish the taboo of talking about the matter.

In addition to the aforementioned goals, the club conducts programmes and events in accordance with directives from DHE Assam, the Assam State Aids Control Society, and other relevant organisations.
