Academic Monitoring Committee, Bhawanipur Anchalik College

In accordance with the directives outlined in the Department of Higher Education (DHE), Assam [Ecf: 443667/31 dated: Kalilipara, 4th April, 2024], the Academic Committee of the Bhawanipur Anchalik College is reconstituted and renamed as the Academic Monitoring Committee (AMC). The AMC of the college is a key entity responsible for overseeing and enhancing the quality of academic programs and student learning experiences. Comprising the principal, vice principal, HoDs, coordinator, and a few non-teaching members, this committee plays a crucial role in monitoring curriculum implementation, assessing teaching-learning methodologies, and ensuring academic standards in the college. The Academic Monitoring Committee conducts regular evaluations, gathers feedback from students and faculties, and recommends improvements to promote academic excellence and student success. Also, the committee conducts a meeting every 45 days and submits the report to the DHE, Assam. AMC, Bhawanipur Anchalik College, is optimistic about the implementation of OBE as per NEP in the upcoming session. The current members of the committee are listed below:

The mission, vision, and objectives of the committee are given below.  

Mission:

The mission of the Academic Monitoring Committee is to ensure the highest standards of academic excellence and integrity within the institution. The committee aims to:

1. Oversee Academic Quality: Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching, learning, and research activities.

2. Promote Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement in academic practices and policies.

3. Ensure Compliance: Ensure adherence to educational standards and regulatory requirements.

4. Support Student Success: Enhance student academic performance and success through effective monitoring and support mechanisms.

Objective(s):

1. To provide clear guidelines to all teaching staff regarding curriculum planning and implementation.

2. To develop a mechanism for academic monitoring to ensure effective implementation of academic planner.

3. To ensure that all departments have done proper planning before the commencement of semester for conduction of lectures and practical’s.

4. To ensure that effective teaching - learning is taking place throughout the semester.

5. To ensure that effective continuous assessment and evaluation is taking place to support teaching – learning.

6. To ensure that slow learners and advanced learners are taken care as per their needs.

7. To ensure that students are mentored for academic as well as personality development.

8. To ensure the attainment of course outcomes and eventually the program outcomes.

9. To monitoring the academic performance, training and placement of the students.

10. Planning and monitoring for Faculty development.
