The Career Counselling Cell (CCC) at Bhawanipur Anchalik College (BAC) plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of our students by providing comprehensive career guidance and support. Established with the objective of bridging the gap between academic learning and professional success, the Cell is dedicated to helping students identify their career aspirations, develop essential skills, and connect with potential employers. Through a variety of activities and programs, we aim to foster an environment where students are well-equipped to make informed career decisions and achieve their professional goals. The cell functions as per the mission and vision given below:

1. To give students the knowledge, skills, and experiences they need to succeed in the job market.
2. To help students actively manage their career development by providing guidance, organizing workshops, and mobilizing resources.
3. To help students make well-informed career choices that match their interests and strengths.

The Cell also offers the following services to the students:

2. Training for interview and job skills.
3. Make arrangement for campus interview for placement.
4. Collaborate with coaching institutes for providing guidance on competitive examinations.
5. Career and personal guidance.
6. Provide students with books relating to career options.
7. Organize seminars and workshops on career guidance by inviting professionals to help the students in choosing their career goals.
8. Help to select an institute that offers a degree or training program that best meets the career goals and financial needs of the students.

1. Counselling and training programme on “Areca nut cropping” in collaboration with Central Plantation Crops Research Institute, Kahikuchi, Guwahati (2017)
2. Interview face-off and employability of youths (2017)
3. 20-weeks long counselling and training programme on “Beauty Therapist” in collaboration with Assam Skill Development Mission (2018)
4. Counselling and awareness programme on various competitive examinations (2019)
5. Career counselling programme on “Ease of doing Business” in collaboration with Department of Industries and Commerce (2021)
6. Commander meets the youth brigade: Counselling and motivational speech by Shri Jaidev Keshri, DIG, CRPF, Bongaigaon (2021)
7. Career counselling programme in collaboration with University of Science & Technology, Meghalaya (2021)
8. Counselling and training programme on “Housekeeping and domestic data entry operator” under the Skill India scheme of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India (2022)
9. Counselling session to the girl students on “Learning Sewing and Design” in collaboration with USHA International Limited (2022)
10. Invited talk and career counselling session by Dr. Debaprasad Mishra, Registrar, NERIM group of institutions (2023)
11. A week-long free offline coaching for the preparation of ADRE examinations. This was organised in the college from June 22-28, 2024.
Future Plans: Several programmes are in pipeline for the next academic year. The list below provides an overview of the plans to be in action.
1. Job Fairs and Campus Recruitment: Plans to organize job fairs in collaboration with local and national companies to facilitate direct recruitment.
2. Internship Placements: Facilitate internships with various institutions/ organizations to provide internship experience as per requirement of NEP-2020.
3. Collaboration with Academic Coaching Institutes: Establish healthy partnerships with academic coaching institutions to prepare students for various competitive examinations.
4. Educational Tours and Industrial Visits: Organize visits to industries and educational institutions to give students exposure to real-world environments.
5. Certification Programs: Introduce certification courses in emerging fields.
6. Digital Career Resources: Updating the college website with resources such as job listings, career articles, and e-learning modules.
7. Career Resource Library: Establish a physical and digital library with books, journals, and other resources related to career development and job search.
